A four-axle luggage car with a post office, designed for service and transport of mail in express train operation.
The car is divided into service, baggage and post office. The mail compartment is divided into a closure dispatching room and a closure receiving room. The entrance door is to the service section of the car. If necessary, it is possible to combine the two sections and use the whole for one purpose by opening the sliding dividing door. The carriage is fitted with wiring for the train radio and telephone. The carriage did not comply with RIC regulations, but was given permission 51 on condition that electric heating was not used on lines where voltages other than 3000 volts were used.
The permitted operating speed is 120 km/h. The CSD took 35 units (DFa 8015-8049) in 1961, and in 1967 it was re-numbered 51 54 91-18. After the RIC removal, 50 54 91-18. In 1983 it was re-named D Post.
