Prototype:

Class 2 express car designed for international transport according to RIC and MC conventions on main lines with a speed of 120 km/h. The car is fitted with Pennsylvania bogies, has 10 compartments and a side corridor. The volume of units produced from the start of production in 1958 to the end of production in 1960 was 288 units in phased deliveries. The number intervals are 3347 to 3399 and 3578 to 3812. (From 1968 onwards, the UIC renumbering took place in the interval 51 54 29-10 000-x to 51 54 29-10 081-x in the case of the radio-controlled compartment and to the intervals 51 54 20-10 000-x to 51 54 20-10 199-x.)

The car is equipped with 10 compartments with 80 leather seats in green, with 8 reclining seats in the corridor. One compartment has a toilet and washroom, the other a toilet and a compartment for the conductor.

From 1959 the carriages were built with a radio control panel, but were later dismantled and refreshments were sold in them.
